Misconduct risks in agencies holding confidential information
Government agencies hold large amounts of information of both a public and private nature. What are the misconduct risks associated with access to this information? What can be the consequences of not managing these risks appropriately? The Forum will be of interest to State and Local Government managers and supervisors, particularly those in record keeping, human resources, professional standards and corporate governance units.

Warren Strange, Assistant Commissioner – Misconduct, Crime and Misconduct Commission, Queensland spoke on some CMC case studies.
Dr Kim Schofield, Deputy Commissioner, Capability Development Division, Public Sector Commission spoke about confidentiality obligations placed on public sector officers, and likely risk areas and their management.
Sven Bluemmel, Information Commissioner, Office of the Information Commissioner outlined the framework of the FOI scheme and immunities for disclosures made in good faith.
