Tips for Managers

OVERVIEW

This workshop is specifically for State and Local Government front-line managers (Level 3-6) with little or no knowledge of the CCC, who are looking for practical tips about managing misconduct in their workplace.

The CCC recognises that many public sector agencies rely heavily on their front-line managers to spot, handle and prevent misconduct in their work area. This interactive workshop will cover what you need to know to become ’the unsurprised manager’, using exercises and case scenarios to help explore some common issues faced by managers today.

Dealing with misconduct may sound like a tricky task, but this workshop breaks it down into a few basic steps.

OUTCOMES

Participants will leave this workshop with a greater understanding of:

  • The role of the CCC and legislative requirements under the CCC Act
  • Why dealing with misconduct is relevant to you
  • The importance of knowing your misconduct risks
  • Implementing internal controls to reduce misconduct risks
  • Your responsibility for creating a safe reporting environment
  • What to do when you are faced with a misconduct issue in your workplace
