Misconduct Resistance Framework

The Commission’s Misconduct Resistance Framework: An Integrated Governance Approach to Protecting Agency Integrity assists public sector agencies to develop an appropriate system to manage misconduct by:

• increasing the factors which inhibit misconduct
• decreasing the factors which allow misconduct to occur

The Framework consists of three outcomes:

• The right agency culture
• The right agency operational strategies
• The right agency management environment

The Framework is supported by:

• a Health check that consists of 12 short questions for staff to answer in order to monitor and review an agency’s misconduct resistance approach and instructions on how to use the Health check
• a Health check report generator that is a spreadsheet to download to enter staff responses to the questions in the Health check
• an Agency implementation status mapping tool that is a visual snapshot to help identify areas that need attention or to monitor agency progress over time
• an Integrating Misconduct Resistance poster for display in the workplace
