2016

Public examinations

2015

These public examinations are part of a wider inquiry by the Commission into firstly the regulation of the process by which the drivers of certain vehicles are required to have a minimum standard of proficiency in operating those vehicles. Secondly the regulation of the process by which vehicles that have to be examined before being allowed back on our roads, come to be licensed.

The Commission commenced an investigation on 17 April 2015. The scope and purpose was to determine whether the City and/or Lord Mayor Mrs Lisa Scaffidi or any other public officer had engaged in serious misconduct with respect to Mrs Scaffidi's acceptance and disclosure of gifts and travel contributions.

2013

An investigation concerning two incidents of the alleged excessive use of force by a police officer on a detainee at the Broome police station, examining issues of supervision and accountability in relation to those incidents.

2011

Investigation to determine if any member of the Western Australian Police has engaged in misconduct in connection with the arrest, detention and investigation of matters involving Mr Kevin Spratt and in particular the use of TASER weapons against him on 31 August 2008.
