The Corruption and Crime Commission (CCC) visited Albany from 23 – 24 September 2026 to talk with government employees and community members about our work and hear about corruption and serious misconduct concerns that matter to local residents.

Over two days, the Commission team met with Albany Police, Albany Regional Prison officers and prisoners, City of Albany staff, as well as a Menang Noongar Community Elder and the Aboriginal Legal Service. We also held an open forum for government employees and local community members at the City of Albany Civic Rooms.

The visit coincided with the Local Government Professionals WA’s 2026 Great Southern Forum, where CCC Director Investigations, Dan Parker, delivered an opening address on integrity, accountability and current issues for local government.

By strengthening relationships and raising awareness of the Commission within regional communities, we’re working together to reduce misconduct and improve integrity in the WA government sector.
